We're excited to announce our latest feature update that allows you to shorten stays for bookings with a monthly billing cycle. Now, you can easily accommodate guest requests to shorten their stay before the original check-out date.
Here's how it works:
From the Guest Experience tab, navigate to the booking summary page of the specific booking you want to shorten.
Click the Actions drop-down menu and select Shorten Stay.
Choose the desired new check-out date, which should be earlier than the original check-out date.
Click Save to confirm the new check-out date.
It's that simple! The updated number of nights based on the new check-out date will now be displayed on the booking summary page. You can review the invoices on the booking-financials tab to ensure that the amounts on line items, such as accommodation and billing period type optional services, have been prorated according to the new length of stay.
Important notes:
This feature only applies to bookings created with a Monthly billing cycle and if the invoice/s is in draft mode.
If the shortened date falls within an issued invoice period, you need to credit the issued invoice first and ensure the correction invoice is in draft status before making any amendments.
Changes made using this function will not amend any pre-existing contract document or be communicated to the resident.
