The booking status tells you where a booking has reached, from a first enquiry to the end of the stay. It is shown on the Bookings list and on Booking - Summary, and the Bookings list can be filtered by it. This article covers all twelve statuses, including Terminated, which is set when a termination request is approved.

The twelve booking statuses

Inquiry | Consulta | A guest enquiry has arrived, usually from a connected channel, and nothing is being held yet. |
Requested | Solicitada | A booking has been requested and is waiting for someone to accept or decline it. |
Declined | Rechazada | The request was turned down, so no stay is held. |
Tentative | Provisional | A hold is in place while the guest completes the prerequisites. The hold runs on a timer. |
Tentative expired | Provisional caducada | The hold ran out before the prerequisites were completed. |
Awaiting payment | Pendiente de pago | The booking is waiting for a payment before it can move on. |
Reserved | Reservada | No booking carried this status in the workspaces checked on 15 September 2026. [needs confirming with the product team] |
Confirmed | Confirmada | Everything needed has been completed and the stay is agreed. |
Expired | Expirada | The booking lapsed before it was taken up. |
Cancelled | Cancelada | The booking was cancelled, so the whole stay is off. |
Terminated | Terminada | An approved termination request ended the booking early, and the check-out date moved to the termination date. |
Closed | Cerrada | The stay is over and the booking is closed to further changes. |
Two filter values that are not statuses
The Status: Booking filter offers two more values. Each one describes a request waiting on a decision rather than the status of the booking, and the booking keeps its own status while that request is open.

How to filter the Bookings list by status
Go to Bookings.
Select Add a filter, then select Status: Booking.
Keep Is, or select Is not to exclude a status instead.
Select the status you want.
Select Apply.

The other labels on a booking
A booking row and Booking - Summary carry several labels side by side, and only one of them is the booking status. These are the others.
Label group | Values | What it answers |
Occupancy | Checked in, Checked out, No show | Whether the guest has arrived, left, or failed to arrive. |
Vetting status | Unvetted, Vetting pending, Needs review, Vetting verified, Vetting failed, Manually approved, Manually declined | How far guest vetting has got. |
Payment | Payment due, Payment overdue | Whether money is owed on the booking, and whether it is late. |
When would you use it
You are looking at a booking and want to know why it is not confirmed yet.
You need to find every booking waiting on a cancellation or termination decision.
You are reporting on bookings and need to know which statuses to include.
A colleague has described a booking by its status and you want to know what that means for the unit.
Things to note
The booking status and the occupancy labels are different things. A booking row can read Checked in or Checked out where you expect a booking status, because the row shows occupancy once the guest has arrived.
Payment on its own does not confirm a booking. Where a contract is still unsigned, the booking stays Tentative.
A tentative hold runs on a timer. Where the prerequisites are not completed before the timer runs out, the hold ends and the booking no longer holds the unit.
The status is spelled Canceled on the Status: Booking filter and Cancelled on the booking itself. Both mean the same status.
Booking - Summary is one of the parts of the PMS that is not translated, so a Spanish user reads the booking status there in English. The Bookings list is translated.
